The EPCM Global Group is seeking a skilled and dynamic Mechatronics/Automation Service Technician to join our innovative team. As a global leader in engineering, procurement, and construction management, we are looking for a talented individual to contribute to our cutting-edge automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair automated equipment, including robotic systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other computer-controlled devices
- Perform routine diagnostic checks and preventative maintenance on automated systems
- Troubleshoot and isolate problems in mechanical, electrical, or computer systems
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as sensors or electrical wiring
- Program and optimize PLCs and other control systems
- Conduct equipment testing and performance analysis
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including maintenance procedures and equipment manuals
- Train operators and other technicians on proper equipment operation and maintenance
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve system efficiency and reliability
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Automation Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in the Automation field
- Strong knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and computer systems
- Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens)
- Experience with robotics systems (e.g., ABB, Fanuc, Kuka)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and CAD drawings
- Being fluent in Spanish is considered an asset, communicative Spanish is required
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to travel for on-site customer support (up to 30% travel will be required)
